This was the first course to open in North Myrtle Beach. For decades it was the best country club style course on the North end, and for 8-years it was an MBGA Player’s Top 20 track. In 2005 they went private, and in 2008 the conditions and attitudes there began to slide as members began exiting. Recently, their membership has rebounded, but conditions and the uppity attitude have not. It features wide, oak and pine lined fairways with a good amount of roll for that area. It has some cypress marshes, small to medium-size greens and average amount of bunkering and water coming into play. The par 3, 18th hole there is a 207-yard forced carry over a lake to a fast, severely sloped green.
