This course is built on the site of two rice plantations (some old ruins remain), and is a mix between plantation and traditional styles. It features lakes, old oaks, wildlife, waterways, numerous traps, waste bunkers, wetlands and average size, but tough, greens. Their 1st and 15th holes have received some local renown. Some development is also encroaching on its aesthetics. They completely restored their greens to their original size with hearty Champions Bermuda, dramatically improved their drainage and added peripheral irrigation to improve the edges of the fairways and the rough. Recently, they have done some serious landscaping, added brickwork around the tee boxes along with other aesthetics that definitely enhance this already outstanding experience.
