Formerly Diamond Back Golf Club until some marketing moron decided they could sell more real estate with a wimpy name - good luck with that! This modern design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and a dense Low Country forest, and is a real sleeper. This a fun course featuring topography and elevation changes of up to 65 feet, strategically placed bunkers and lakes, and its putt challenging Jensen Ultra Dwarf greens. While golfers should be aware that virtually all of the courses along the low-lying Highway 9 corridor have problems with soggy conditions and cart paths only are almost the norm, this tract has much better drainage than the other Highway 9 courses. They are starting to build housing there, so its pristine surroundings are starting to dwindle and the conditions of the course are slipping.
